Default Naked domain with Google App's DNS How-To

This a a quick How-To, if anyone has any questions please PM me.

1. First buy a domain, I perfer GoDaddy.
For testing I will use exampledomain.com.
2. Then edit your Domain providers settings to use EditDNS name servers for your domain.
NS4.US.EDITDNS.NET, NS5.US.EDITDNS.NET, NS6.US.EDITDNS.NET,NS3.EU.EDITDNS.NET, NS4.EU.EDITDNS.NET
3. Then create your domain, exampledomain.com, on EditDNS.
4. Since you want to use Google Apps be sure to select the "Google Apps" template.
5. The next thing to do is create an A record for exampledomain.com. You will want to use the IP of ghs.google.com which is 74.125.47.121.
6. You then create your CNAMES like www.example.com. Be sure to point them to ghs.google.com and not to your exampledomain.com A record.
NOTE: There is a problem doing this, If Google changes the IP of ghs.google.com
to point to another IP, the access to your naked domain's web site, http://exampledomain.com
will not work because the IP has changed but your CNAMES and MX records will still work since they are pointed to ghs.google.com.
I have tested this process and it does work. I have used this process before and it is called
naked domain hosting for Google Apps. You can search Google for "naked domain hosting and Google Apps" for other information.

Default Is this for the free version of Editdns?

"4. Since you want to use Google Apps be sure to select the "Google Apps" template."

I'm using free.editdns.net, and when I go to add a domain there's no option for Google Apps. I just get a pre-selected radio-button 'Regular' and the text box for the domain name. I guess I can add the records manually, but want to make sure I'm not missing something obvious.

Default No template.

The naked domain pointing to google apps does not work with the free version of google apps.

You can point subdomains (www.mydomain.com, or sites.mydomain.com, etc) to ghs.google.com and it all works fine. But you can't point the plain domain name (http://mydomain.com) and have it work.

I've tried using an Arecord pointing to the IP for ghs.google.com, but it returns a 404 not found page...

Any one want to show me I'm wrong, I'd be happy to learn.
